Fairlight Shopping Centre
Sydney's Northern Beaches |
|
|
Fairlight looks south to the city of Sydney, boasting views of both North Harbour and the harbour waters beyond Manly Cove, with Manly pier to the left and Forty Baskets to the right.
Fairlight is a small residential suburb nestled between Balgowlah and Manly has retained most of the natural beauty and some of the charm it had when first settled in the mid 1800's.
The reefs around Sydney Harbour support soft corals but are not as colourful as the Great Barrier Reef. Around Sydney you can expect to see kingfish, trevally, jewfish, groper, wrasse, yellow tails, mado, sergeant bakers, schools of bream, angel fish, drummer, occasionally sharks and rays, cuttle fish, squid, dolphins.
Snorkelling is possible from the shore. You will see a variety of tropical and sub tropical fish and may see a shark or ray. Snorkelling tours are available on weekends. |
