Narrabeen is part of Sydney's famous northern beaches stretch that lies at the northern end of a broad three-mile stretch of sand, which starts at Collaroy. Narrabeen beach is famous as one of the great surf breaks of the world.
The Narrabeen area is set apart from the other fabulous northern beaches as it is blessed with Narrabeen Lakes a haven for sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, boating and swimming and fishing. The lakes are vista for leisure activates. The lake is surrounded by numerous parks and reserves, which provide beautiful walking tracks along the waters edge.
The area also features fine restaurants and cafes and a friendly shopping atmosphere. The monthly market is a regular attraction with stalls right on the waters edge at Berry Reserve, providing the perfect location to pick up a once a month Saturday morning bargain.
Narrabeen Lake empties out to the sea at the north end of Narrabeen Beach. There is a public caravan park on the north bank of the outlet of Narrabeen Lake. |
